Christina Aguilera signs with Jay-Z’s Roc-Nation

Christina Aguilera is making a major and exclusive move for her career by signing with Roc-Nation’s management team. Christina now appears on the Roc Nation roster on the official website with a bio featuring her many industry successes.

Aguilera ended her 20 year management relationship with Irving Azoff to now sit alongside some heavy hitters such as Rihanna, Mariah Carey, Megan Thee Stallion, Miguel, and DJ Khaled.

She has shared that she is excited to hear and see what her new relationship with Roc Nation will lead to while creating a new chapter that will boost and recharge her career. It has been a while since she has dropped any new music since her latest album Liberation in 2018.

Christina Aguilera will continue to use her voice for good where she will continue to serve as a global spokesperson for Yum! Brands’ World Hunger Relief effort since 2009 and will help raise awareness for the World Food Program and other hunger relief agencies.

Kevin Hart and Charlamagne Tha God announce Audible partnership to expand Black voices

Kevin Hart and Charlamagne Tha God have announced an exclusive partnership with Audible. According to Forbes, they are coming together in an effort to showcase Black voices for more cultural conversations.

The partnership will be a multi-year deal where the duo will speak to Black actors, actresses, writers, singers, and more storytellers to create audio projects across a number of different genres. Kevin Hart and Charlamagne will produce all of the content under their entertainment companies; Hartbeat Productions and CTHAGOD World Productions.

Audible shares a variety of long-form Audible Originals episodes that features fictional and non-fictional scripted series from powerhouse talents spanning across all aspects of culture that they will personally source, cultivate, and develop.

Kevin Hart stated his overall goal in this partnership is to “Give people of color a better start. We’ve been starting at the bottom for quite some time and we’re just saying, let’s try to even out the playing field with a fair start out the gate.”

Charlamagne also stated “He’s comedy and I’m in the audio business and just the fact that both of us are coming together and forming this company, this vertical, this platform together, I think that says a lot. One thing that we have to continue to do as Black people is to move with unity and group operation.”

According to Charlamagne, the idea to team up for this sonic endeavor began to take shape more than a year ago during a brainstorming session in a New York hotel room. These two never disappoint, be on the look out for their Audible debut.

J. Cole to expand 'Dreamville' to launch content studio 'Dreamville Ventures'

Jermaine “J.” Cole and Ibrahim “Ib” Hamad announced that Dreamville is launching Dreamville Ventures and Dreamville Studios via an exclusive article with Variety.

Dreamville Ventures will be a multi-disciplinary media company, and Dreamville Studios, a content studio that will produce original and co-produced content. They will also produce original content including films, tv shows, podcasts, and many more.

To lead the new division of Dreamville Ventures is Damien Scott who was named president of Dreamville, and Candace Rodney, who will serve as Dreamville executive vice president and president of Dreamville Studios.

Damien and Candace will oversee the day-to-day operations of Dreamville Ventures as well as all platform verticals from music, TV and film, publishing, apparel and live events such as the annual Dreamville Festival.
