Roc Nation’s Jay-Z and Dreamchasers’ Meek Mill’s of REFORM Alliance are continuing to bring justice to prisoners by passing a new probation bill in California.

Governor Gavin Newsom signed a new bill, AB 1950, that will amend the state probation system. The new law limits adult probation sentences to be capped at one year maximum for misdemeanors and two years for felony offenses.

Meek Mill stated on Instagram that the bill will have no more long probation periods in California. Although it is only in California, at the moment. REFORM plans to expand this bill all over the country.

“I want to thank Governor Newsom for his leadership in signing AB 1950, the most transformative probation bill in this country to date,” Jay-Z says.

Gavin Newsom also signed some major bills that bans police officers from using chokeholds during arrests and another that will allow the Department of Justice to independently investigate police-involved shootings when requested by local law enforcement agencies or district attorneys.

REFORM Alliance began after Meek Mill was re-imprisoned for things that were unjust. Meek Mill and REFORM then joined forces in a commitment to changing an abundance of supervision laws such as probation and parole policies that will impact others in similar unfortunate situations.

REFORM’s purpose is to give a voice to the voiceless to change laws, policies, and practices that are involved in injustice behavior.

Power couple, Jennifer Lopez and Alex Rodriguez, has became minority owners in Kitu Life Inc, the company behind the coffee brand Super Coffee. Jennifer and Alex announced they have invested in Super Coffee which was founded by three brothers, Jim, Jake, & Jordan DeCicco in a Philadelphia University dorm room four years ago.

Super Coffee was inspired by the infamous keto diet where the brothers began to brew organic Colombian coffee blended with lactose-free protein and medium chain triglyceride (MCT) oil from coconuts instead of milk and sugar. The coffee is only 80 calories with zero sugar.

Within four years, The Kitu Life brand includes beverages such as coffee, protein, creamers, natural sweeteners and an infusion of MCT oil with a range of cold and hot coffee. The products are sold all over the United States, Amazon, and nationally distributed by Anheuser Busch.

The joint investment and partnership with Jennifer and Alex will help the brand expand globally.

Apparently, Alex Rodriguez discovered the brothers' product in February of 2018 when he saw them on Shark Tank. Unfortunately the DeCiccio brothers didn’t win but that didn't stop them from pushing Super Coffee into different markets.

“They have built a strong business in a short time and we look forward to helping the brand reach its full potential,” says Alex Rodriguez.

The company was initially valued at $200 million. After expanding the terms with Jennifer and Alex, the post value is now $240 million.
